Terratec is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to provide biosolids management services to the City of Hamilton. The contract is for an initial three year period with possible annual extensions as to allow for efficient transition to the City’s long term Biosolids Management Solution for which they are currently pursuing through a Public Private Partnership funding program.
The contract consists of hauling approximately 50,000 cubic metres of interplant liquid haulage, and the management of approximately 40,000 MT of dewatered biosolids from the City’s Woodward Avenue wastewater treatment facility towards beneficial reuse.
Terratec has provided the City of Hamilton with more than 19 years of uninterrupted biosolids management services. We are looking forward to servicing the City’s biosolids management program as to meet their short term needs.
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Terratec Environmental Ltd. has been awarded the biosolids management services contract for the Region of Halton. The contract is for an initial five year period with an option for the Region to extend for an additional five years.
Halton’s biosolids management services include the yearly interplant haulage of approximately 183,000 cubic metres of residuals, the agricultural land application of approximately 93,500 cubic metres of liquid biosolids, and the beneficial reuse of 22,200 metric tonnes of dewatered biosolids. In addition to providing these core services, Terratec will work closely with the Region of Halton throughout the term of the contract to explore the implementation of additional and diverse biosolids beneficial reuse options in keeping with sound environmental stewardship principles.
Terratec has provided biosolids management services to the Region of Halton for over 30 years, building and maintaining a strong professional relationship along the way. We are excited to have been awarded the opportunity to continue to provide critical biosolids services to the Region, and to develop new pathways with the Region to maintain a sustainable, environmentally responsible biosolids management program into the future.
HAMILTON, ON, June 3, 2014 – Terratec Environmental Ltd., a division of American Water’s market-based subsidiary, American Water Enterprises, has been awarded a three-year contract by the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), for the removal, haulage and utilization of biosolids.
The work will consist of providing services for the removal and land application of biosolids from various wastewater treatment plants within the Ottawa Valley area. The value of the contract is approximately $200,000.

HAMILTON, ON, June 5, 2013 – Terratec Environmental Ltd., a division of American Water’s market-based subsidiary, American Water Enterprises, has been awarded a contract by the Municipality of Central Elgin, Ontario, for biosolids management services. The work consists of removal and land application and/or safe disposal of accumulated wastewater treatment plant sludge from the Port Stanley Sewage Lagoons.

HAMILTON, ON, May 20, 2013 – Terratec Environmental Ltd., a division of American Water’s market- based subsidiary, American Water Enterprises, has been awarded a contract by the Municipality of Brighton, Ontario, for the municipality’s Lagoon Clean-Out Project.
The work will take place at the Brighton Water Pollution Control Plant and consist of dredging and land applications for more than 27,000 cubic meters of biosolids.
